Sounds of St. Louis

On Saturday, September 6th, Jackson Pianos invites the city to the soft opening of Noteworthy Café & Culture, a new space where neighbors can grab a coffee, hear live music, take a class, or simply connect. This long-awaited gathering place will open its doors with Sounds of St. Louis, an all-day celebration featuring some of the city’s most beloved musicians, unique activities, and a chance to support a groundbreaking global piano project.

The day will feature live performances from Ethan Leinwand & Valerie Kirchhoff (Miss Jubilee), Al Holliday, Dave Majchrzak, Joseph Winstein-Hibbs, Alex Sinclair, Sonya Yereshchenko, Ryan Marquez, and more. Guests can also enjoy piano yoga sessions of multiple styles led by Morgan Cameron and Jenny Battenberg, a first taste of Noteworthy’s drink menu, and the highlight of the day’s fundraising efforts: a silent auction for a fully rebuilt 1927 Mason & Hamlin AA grand piano, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for collectors and musicians alike.

Proceeds from drink sales, the auction, and donations will go toward bringing an internationally celebrated art installation to St. Louis: the PianoDrome. Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, the PianoDrome is a performance and community space built entirely from reclaimed pianos. Jackson Pianos is launching a global partnership with the PianoDrome, beginning with a research trip this year for their technicians and builders. The goal? To create a St. Louis PianoDrome — a local hub for performance, education, and creative collaboration unlike anything in the Midwest.

Whether you’re excited about piano on a global or local scale or just curious about what our menu will look like, we hope you’ll join us there!
