You Can't Spell Style without STL

You can go to Union Station and find a bevy of souvenir shops with Saint Louis clothing and accessories marketed to tourists—you know, the kind you see on big-haired women with fanny packs and stretch pants. Those cliche t-shirts invariably feature an image of the Arch and say something like “St. Louis: Gateway to the West” or along those lines. But rarely did you ever see Saint Louis gear designed for Saint Louisans themselves.

So in the summer of 2001, STL Style made it their mission to do just that. They came up with some slogans that reflected the quirky and unique character of this beloved old city.
