Led by Jamaica-born writer, singer, arranger and producer Ashaka, the Ram Jam Reggae Band has been burning up clubs in Saint Louis with their straight-up reggae sound. Hear their live performance from The Smoking Lounge.

Featuring Ashaka on vocals, Kelly Williams on bass, Karl Acon on keyboard, Doshie Griffin on drums, and Dave Hagerty on guitar, the band plays an accessible but conscious style of reggae, with influences ranging from Peter Tosh to Bob Marley. They also played shows at Janae's West on June 14 and at the Tin Can Tavern on June 19, 2009.
