With a new CD, Smoke Leaves Town, released under the name Joe Stickley's Blueprint, the Saint Louisian draws together friends like Wil Reeves (bass), Danny Carroll (drums), Andrew Weir (keyboards) and Sean Canan (guitar and mandolin) to make a collaborative Americana sound that should appeal to followers of freak folk and fans of literate songwriting. They held a CD release party at the Duck Room in Saint Louis on May 22, 2009.
