Candidate Forum on the Environment |

October 6, 2008
Central Reform Congregation
In Election 2008, the economy is on everyone's mind, but polls show the environment is also an abiding concern. At this forum, Saint Louis area candidates for statewide office and the Missouri Legislature presented their positions on environmental issues and answered questions from the audience. The event was moderated by Jean Ponzi, host of Earthworms on KDHX 88.1 FM.
Over 125 people took part in a lively discussion ranging from the environmental challenges facing Missouri to the need for energy efficiency programs and safe, renewable energy development. The forum was presented by the Jewish Environmental Initiative, Missouri Coalition for the Environment, Missouri Votes Conservation Education Fund and Women's Voices Raised for Social Justice, and co-sponsored by Central Reform Congregation, the Ethical Society of Saint Louis, First United Methodist Church of Webster Groves and KDHX Community Media.
