KDHX Launches New Look and Reaches Out to New Audiences

Saint Louis, February 2, 2010 - KDHX, Saint Louis' award-winning, independent radio and media arts organization, today announced it has unveiled a brand new look and launched a targeted marketing campaign in support of plans to expand its reach and services in the Saint Louis region. The campaign is one component to a larger development plan initiated over 2 years ago by the 22-year-old non-profit institution.

After having been selected by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in 2007 as 1 of only 5 organizations nationwide to receive financial support for a radio station "renewal" program due to its significant growth and service to the Saint Louis region, and having been awarded an additional grant valued at $120,000 from Google, KDHX has begun the first phase of its long-term strategic development.

"KDHX has a long history of serving and helping to develop the cultural community in Saint Louis," stated Nico Leone, co-executive director for KDHX. "The support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and Google afforded us a truly great opportunity to reach out to even more artists, organizations and listeners in and around Saint Louis. Our mission here at KDHX is to be a comprehensive voice and resource for other non-profit institutions, artists and service organizations, and these marketing efforts will help us achieve our outreach goals."

The marketing campaign includes a new image for KDHX and marketing tactics in targeted areas to increase listeners and services in under-served communities. The campaign includes a new logo and position for the organization as well as billboards, print and online advertising. Google's funding toward the campaign supports critical search engine marketing and online advertising for KDHX's Web site , which is designed as a resource for information about cultural events including the arts, theatre, local and national music, and festivals in and around the Saint Louis region. KDHX will also be unveiling a new Web site and online education programs by third quarter 2010 as a component to the organization's larger development plans.
