Since their earliest days as a forward thinking, progressive bluegrass band who had the guts to add drums to the mix and who was unafraid to stir in any number of highly combustible styles into their ever evolving sound, to their role as a pioneer of the modern jamband scene, to their current status as elder-statesmen of the scene who cast a huge influential shadow over every festival they play, Leftover Salmon has been a crucial link in keeping alive the traditional music of the past while at the same time pushing that sound forward with their own weirdly, unique style.

Over 50 dance troupes and hundreds of dancers including The Big Muddy Dance Company, Ballet 314, WU Dance Collective, Lindenwood University, Karlovsky & Company Dance to name a few.

NDW features diversified cultural expressions of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern disciplines, as well as Irish, Mexican, African, Middle Eastern, and Indian.

The event will also host a variety of food trucks.

GET STUMPED every First Thursday with 45 trivia questions from a variety of categories, designed to astound, gob smack, flummox, baffle, bamboozle, and vex! If you answer just one question correctly, you've done the impossible. If they're all too hard, ya can't say you weren't warned by the very name of the event itself! That said, I have never agreed with a single person I've ever heard say the words "I'm not good at trivia" We all have our niche! We begin around 8:45PM, so arrival by 8:30PM is recommended. We play three games. Show up late to catch the second or third game, or leave after the first or second game if you have an earlier bedtime or somethin' else to do! Prizes will be awarded for each game as well as a grand prize for highest score of the entire night. (It's mostly drinks. This is a bar, after all.) Team size is limited to SIX per team, and admission is FREE. (But buy some drinks. This is a bar, after all.)

I'll also typically do my best to ensure that there's free, fresh popcorn available on-site in basically whatever amount you could wish for. BRING YOUR OWN Bowl or Cup! Cinco de Mayo on Cherokee Street is coming up Saturday, May 4, 11:00 am - 8:00 pm. There will be luchador wrestling, a mechanical bull ride, a Family Fun Zone with lots of games, and two stages with amazing lineups. To help manage foot traffic flow, the 2024 festival will limit entry to 4 Grand Entrances at Jefferson Ave. on the east, Nebraska Ave. on the west, and Iowa Ave. on the north and south sides. Each entrance will feature bag checks to ensure that prohibited items such as weapons, outside alcohol, coolers, and speakers are not brought onto the premises.
