Ryan Keberle & Catharsis features some of the brightest stars in jazz and latin-jazz today including Scott Robinson on tenor saxophone (Gerry Mulligan, Lionel Hampton, Chet Baker), Camila Meza on voice (Jose James, Tom Harrell), Jorge Roeder on bass (Julian Lage, Gary Burton), Eric Doob on drums (Paquito D’Rivera, Miguel Zenon), and Ryan Keberle on trombone. Having recently finished second tour of Europe and extensively throughout the US, Catharsis released their third record on June 16, 2017 on Dave Douglas’s Greenleaf Music – a protest record called Find the Common, Shine a Light. The New York Times recently said of the music “there’s heart and soul in Mr. Keberle’s tunes” and the Los Angeles Times described it as “a potent blend of cinematic sweep and lush ear-grabbing melodies”.
