Todd Snider

A fixture on the East Nashville singer-songwriter scene, Todd Snider is known for his irreverent humor, and intelligent, often poignant lyrics delivered in true, troubadour style. With influences including Jerry Jeff Walker, Kris Kristofferson and John Prine, Snider’s live shows combine sharp songwriting, acclaimed musicianship and endearing storytelling for a one-of-a-kind night of modern folk music. For this Sheldon performance, Snider will appear solo. In his words, “I am coming to town with nothing but my guitar and stories like the old days. You know...pick a little, talk a little, pick a little, talk a little, cheap cheap, cheap, talk a lot, pick a little more.”

In addition to solo engagements, Snider tours with the band Hard Working Americans, featuring bassist Dave Schools and drummer Duane Trucks of Widespread Panic, guitarist Neal Casal of Chris Robinson Brotherhood, keyboardist Chad Staehly of Great American Taxi, and guitarist Jesse Aycock. In 2014, Snider added the title of author to his accomplishments with the release of I Never Met a Story I Didn't Like: Mostly True Tall Tales.
