Not So Late Night: Eve L. Ewing, Hanif Abdurraquib, Katarra & the Sofolkz and Cheeraz Gormon

The Left Bank Books Foundation, Maryville Talks Books, the St. Louis Poetry Center, and UrbArts present Left Bank Books' Not So Late Night with host Cheeraz Gormon, musical guest Katarra & the SoFolkz, and special guests Eve L. Ewing and Hanif Abdurraquib!

Eve L. Ewing is a writer and scholar from Chicago. She is the author of "Electric Arches" (2017) and "When the Bell Stops Ringing: Race, History, and Discourse amid Chicago’s School Closures" (2018).

Hanif Abdurraqib is a poet, writer, and cultural critic from Columbus, Ohio. He is the author of "The Crown Ain’t Worth Much" (2016) and "They Can’t Kill Us Until They Kill Us" (2017).

Katarra & The SoFolkz is a collaboration of Saint Louis born artists whose respective genres (from hip-hop, to soul, to jazz) are fused into one collaboration of dopeness, an abundance of soul.

St. Louis native Cheeraz Gormon is a storyteller, poet, and advertising creative, and author of "In The Midst of Loving" (2015).

This event is free and open to the public, but proof of purchase of any of the poets' featured titles will be required to enter the signing line.
