From Rob Levy:

More so than in recent years, 2022 was an amazingly dense year for music across all genres. The creativity and determination by artists to persevere beyond the pandemic resulted in vibrant sounds birthed by creativity and necessity. The result was a flurry of incredible releases that made it exciting to bring this music to the ears of listeners.
