Lo-Fi Cherokee is an exciting, one-of-a-kind event that has become a favorite among the businesses and residents of Cherokee, a street that hosts some of the most popular events in the city.

Each year, in early April, the Lo-Fi Cherokee crew sets out to shoot about a dozen music videos on Cherokee Street in a single day; the goal is to capture the energy and diversity of the local music scene. We invite the public to watch as we make our way down the street making music videos in various shops, restaurants, and bars. A live audience gives this event a festival or bar-crawl vibe while celebrating St. Louis' rich music scene in one of the city's most dynamic small business districts.

Lo-Fi Saint Louis

Lo-Fi Saint Louis is a video series documenting the music scene in St. Louis. Founded in 2005 as an experiment in publishing regular video content online we have evolved and adapted over the years. We feature live recordings of bands in unusual venues. Every April we produce Lo-Fi Cherokee, an event that combines filmmaking and music which has become an institution on the street for which it’s named.
